Air Oil Separator Element BOTTARINI 221100

The BOTTARINI 221100 is a key component of your lubricated rotary screw air compressor. The oil is injected with the intake air to seal the compressors screws with the chamber, lubricate bearings and remove heat of compression from the machine, after the air and oil mix is compressed by the screw a separator will filter the mix to reinject the oil into the compression chamber and send the air downstream.
A standard rotary screw air oil separator assembly should retain most of the oil inside the lubrication system and entrained in the compressed air for a maximum of 2-3 ppm.
The top-hat style air oil separators are installed inside a separator tanks with a gasket and a grounding wire. They normally need to be changed anywhere between 4000 hr and 8000 hr depending on the parts.
