The ECOAIR N09003 separator element is located inside the air oil separator tank and separate the compressed air from the residual oil coming out of the compression bloc.
The air oil separator tank normally have a preliminary mechanical separator to remove most of the liquid oil, the element function is to capture the mist created by the flow and velocity of the mix getting into the tank.
Top hat style air oil separator are installed inside a separator tanks with a gasket and a grounding wire. They normally need to be change anywhere between 4000hrs and 8000hrs depending on the parts.
