The SCHULZ 021.0119-0 separator element is located inside the air oil separator tank and separate the compressed air from the residual oil coming out of the compression bloc.
The air oil separator tank normally have a preliminary mechanical separator to remove most of the liquid oil, the element function is to capture the mist created by the flow and velocity of the mix getting into the tank.
Air/oil separator element have a significant impact on the overall performance of a compressed air system. Excessive oil carry-over will result in higher compressor maintenance cost, higher energy consumption due to high differential pressure in dowstream filtration and higher non-quality product cost.
