Spin-on Air Oil Separator CHAMPION A13010074

The CHAMPION A13010074 is a maintenance part of your lubricated rotary screw compressor. In order to seal the compressor screws with the chamber, lubricate bearings and remove heat of compression oil is injected in the compression chamber with the air, the separator will filter the mix of oil and air to reinject the oil into the air end and send only the air to the downstream aftercooler.
A high quality separator filter will be size with some safety factor in order to function properly at pressure slightly under-rated capacity.
Air oil separators have a major impact on the performance of a compressed air system. Higher differential pressure will create higher energy consumption, excessive oil carry-over will result in higher compressor maintenance cost and extra downstream equipment filtration replacement.
