The AIR MAZE GS39009 is a key componement of your lubricated rotary screw air compressor. The oil is injected with the intake air to seal the compressors screws with the chamber, lubricate bearings and remove heat of compression from the machine, after the air and oil mix is compressed by the screw a separator will filter the mix to reinjected the oil into the compression chamber and send the air downstream.
The air oil separator tank normally have a preliminary mechanical separator to remove most of the liquid oil, the element function is to capture the mist created by the flow and velocity of the mix getting into the tank.
Air/oil separator element have a significant impact on the overall performance of a compressed air system. Excessive oil carry-over will result in higher compressor maintenance cost, higher energy consumption due to high differential pressure in dowstream filtration and higher non-quality product cost.
