The BOTTARINI 221046 separator acts as a filter for the mix of air and oil getting out of the air end. This part plays an important role in the air quality, the energy performance of the compressor and the reliability of the equipment.
A standard rotary screw air compressor separator assembly function is to filter and retain most of the oil inside the lubrication system, the oil concentration at the outlet of the compressor should be around a maximum of 5 ppm.
Spin-on separator are normally mounted upside-down to reduce the amount of oil lost at replacement. They normally need to be changed anywhere between 2000 hr and 4000 hr depending on the manufacturer recommendation.
