Spin-on Air Oil Separator AKROM R-12476

The AKROM R-12476 spin-on separator assembly is located on the lubrication system and separate the compressed air from the residual oil coming out of the compression bloc, sometimes it can be mounted on a valve bloc including the thermostat and the minimum pressure valve.
A standard rotary screw air compressor separator assembly function is to filter and retain most of the oil inside the lubrication system, the oil concentration at the outlet of the compressor should be around a maximum of 5 ppm.
Spin-on separator are normally mounted upside-down to reduce the amount of oil lost at replacement. They normally need to be changed anywhere between 2000 hr and 4000 hr depending on the manufacturer recommendation.
